Bill was born November 7, 1932 in Rochester, MN to Arthur and Helen (Murray) Kautz.
He entered the Navy and served in the 3rd Division, Gunners and Deck Hands on the U.S.S. Roan.
He worked in various capacities for IBM for many years before retiring.
Bill loved motorcycles, vintage cars, and horseshoes in Hammond with his friends and brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia Kautz; daughter, Jocelyn Adkins of Bakersfield, California; step-daughter, Cheryl McAlister of Pine Island, MN; step-son, Dean Hayes of Rochester, MN, as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by three brothers - Jack of Lake City, Kenny of Zumbro Falls, and Richard of Rochester.
Bill will be laid to rest at Grandview Memorial Gardens in a private family service.
