Virginia, or Jenny as I knew her, was the oldest of 12 children born to Biaggio Charles and Rosalia DiSalvo Dugo. While all of the children were born in the US, the family travelled back and forth to Altavilla Milicia Sicily several times, and Jenny often times found herself as caregiver to her younger siblings. An emergency passport filed in January 1923 included a picture of her and her siblings. The family moved from Chicago to San Jose California about 1928. She was very independent, and married Frank Mussomeli late in life. They had no children.
