Born in Chicago Illinois to Biaggio Charles and Rosalia DiSalvo Dugo, Carl was the seventh of twelve children. The family moved to California around 1927, and he enlisted in the armed forces 1 Dec 1940 in San Francisco. His occupation was listed as truck driver. He was killed in action in Italy in 1943, and body was interred at Golden Gate National Cemetery 24 Aug 1948.
