Olive Katherine Saner was born in Pollock, MO, on August 21, 1940, the daughter of Roy Bennett and Ethel Leota (Altiser) Morlan, who preceded her in death.
She was reared in Pollock, MO, and married Edgar Seavey on March 3, 1956. They later divorced.
Olive and Edgar lived in California for a brief time while he was in the Navy. They then returned to the Hartford area of Putnam County. Olive worked as a nurse's aide and later as a sales rep for Hightower Wholesale out of Kirksville, MO, until an accident at work left her diabled. She later moved to Unionville, MO.
Olive liked to grow flowers. She also collected hummingbird statues and angels. She loved music, but most of all she loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Olive had a big heart and was loved by all.
Olive is survived by her five children: Max Seavey and wife Wanda of Milan, MO; Terry Seavey and wife Amy of Liberty Hill, TX; Phillip Seavey of Brashear, MO; Kathy Collins of Unionville, MO; and Linda Flynn and husband Ed of Kirksville, MO. Nineteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren also survive as well as two brothers, Fred Morlan and wife Kay of Kirksville, MO; and Donald Morlan and wife Anita of Columbus, OH; and a sister, Margaret Smith of Pollock, MO. Several nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews also survive.
In addition to Olive's parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, Mark Seavey, and a daughter-in-law, Nita Seavey, and a grandson, Roy Pigg. Three brothers, Wayne, Ray, and James (Bud) Morlan; and four sisters, Alvetta McPherson, Geraldine Higgison, Ruby Hartke, and Virginia Worsfold preceded Olive in death as well.
Memorials are suggested to the Hartford Cemetery.
