Edward Walter Midtgard, 81, of Pioneer, Ohio and formerly of the Jonesville and Hillsdale area, passed away Sunday, December 19, 2004 at Hillsdale Community Center. He was born December 31, 1922 in Detroit, Michigan to Herluf & Hilda (Drager) Midtgard.
Ed was a retired foreman at Jonesville Products, served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Moscow Plains First United Methodist Church.
On November 16, 1952 he married Annabelle Price who survives. Also surviving is a daughter Dianne (Rick) Searfoss of Pioneer, Ohio; three grandchildren, Austin, Audra, and Sterling Searfoss; one sister, Rosemary Peerboom of Montpelier, Ohio.
Ed was proceeded in death by his parents and four brothers, Bill, Chuck, Fritz, and Milton Midtgard.
Funeral services for Edward Midtgard will be Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale, with Pastor Cyril Page officiating. Interment will follow at the Sunset View Cemetery in Jonesville. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
