Mrs. H.C. Midtgard Passes Suddenly - Long Lake Resident Stricken Monday Attending Services
Mrs. Hilda C. Mitdgard, 57, a resident of Long Lake near Montgomery (RR 1, Camden) passed away suddenly Monday night while attending services at the First Church of Christ, Scientist, 30 W. Bacon St., Hillsdale, apparently from natural causes.
A resident of Hillsdale county for the past 18 months, Mrs. Midtgard was the former Hilda Drager of Detroit. Married Sept. 2, 1933, to Herluf Midtgard at Detroit, who survives; she is survived also by one daughter, Mrs. Rosemary Peerboom of Detroit; five sons, William of Detroit, Charles, Jonesville serviceman stationed at Carson Springs, Colo., Frederick, Hillsdale, Edward, Jonesville, and Milton, Montgomery; ten grandchildren; and a sister, residing in Phoenix, Ariz.
Mrs. Midtgard was active in the Farm Bureau, Women's Extension Club and in First Church women's groups.
Scheduling of services is being delayed pending word from distant members of the family. Arrangements are in the hands of Mettler Funeral Home.
