CAMDEN -- Frederick G. Midtgard, 57, 115 Wales, Camden, died suddenly on Monday morning at the Hillsdale Community Health Center.

He was born July 20, 1921, in Detroit to Hilda (Drager) and Herluf Midtgard in Detroit.

He married Jennie Finegan on March 22, 1947, in Jonesville. She survives her husband.

Mr. Midtgard was employed for 16 years with the Fremont Manufacturing Co. in Indiana. He was also a resident of Camden for 26 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II with General Patton's Third Army.

He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Rosemary Peerboom, Montgomery; two sons, Thomas, Camden; Steve, Reading; three brothers, Chuck, Lansing, Eddie, Jonesville; Milton, Montgomery, and four grandchildren.

His parents Mr. and Mrs. Herluf Midtgard survive in Bradenton, Fla.

One brother and son preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the St. John-White Funeral Home in Camden with the Rev. Robert Stover officiating. Burial will be in the Moscow Plains Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Friends may call at the funeral home anytime.
