BERTHA BELLE CRUBAUGH HEILAND
Bertha, born on November 4, 1894, at Bloomington, Illinois, was the sixth child of James Wilson and Emma Belle (Bowman) Crubaugh. Her older siblings were Millard Fillmore, Oscar Sherman, Florence Edna, Clara May, and Leonard. Bertha was five years old when she was enumerated along with her siblings in her father's household, during the 1900 Census.
She was eighteen years old when she was married to Edward Heiland in 1913, at Sullivan, Illinois. Edward was born on November 22, 1878, so he, at the time of their marriage, was thirty-three or thirty-four years old. They were parents of four children. Bertha Belle died on December 31, 1960, at the age of 66 years.
