Sadie L Owen, 89, Knoxville, formerly of Yates City, died Sunday at 3:10 p.m. in St Mary's Hospital, Galesburg. She was born in Elmwood Sept 8, 1895. She married Phillip G Owen in Galesburg Oct 22, 1913. He died Oct 19, 1965. Surviving are three sons, Rollin Owen, Bartonville, and Merrill Owen and Gerald Owen, both of Maquon; two daughters, Leona Goedeke, Yates City, and Phyllis Lybarger, Galesburg; three brothers, Robert Haynes and Harry Haynes, both of Galesburg, and Owen Haynes, Oneida; one sister, Clara Gullett, Maquon; 12 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was reared and educated in the Farmington, Yates City and Elmwood areas. She was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church, Galesburg. Funeral will be Thursday at 11 a.m. in Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home, Knoxville, the Rev Ross Bateman officiating. Burial will be in Maquon Cemetery. Friends may call at.......
