She was born Jan. 29, 1913, in Hayward, the daughter of George and Grace (Ewing) Woodbeck. She attended Hayward High School. She worked as a cook at the Seeley Grade School and then as head cook at Hayward High School. She married Edward Ploof on Aug. 9, 1930, in Duluth. He died in 1965. She later married Joesph Biell on July 11, 1966 in Cable. He died in 1989. She was a member of the Seeley Women's Club and the Ladies Aid of the First Congregational Church.
Survivors include her son, George (Gloria) Ploof of Janesville, Wis.; a daughter Betty (Newman) Benson of Chandler, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, June (Everett) Wetterling, Jean Rang and Charlotte Miles.
Preceding her in death were her parents, her two husbands, six brothers and three sisters.
Funeral: Services were conducted at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 6, at the First Congregational Church in Hayward with Rev. David Benson officiating.
Visitation: Conducted one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Seeley, Wis.
Honorary Casketbearers: Karen Benson, Barb Costello, Lisa Ploof and Teresa Ploof.
Casketbearers: Mark Benson, Jeff Costello, Rick Ploof, Ron Ploof, Tom Ploof and Bob Woodbeck.
