Charlotte was born on Jan. 11, 1926 in Hayward to George and Grace (Ewing) Woodbeck. She attended school in Hayward. She married Walter Miles on May 31, 1947 at the Episcopal Church in Hayward. Charlotte was a cook at the Hayward High School from 1968 until her retirement in 1985. Walter passed away March 13, 1987. She was a life-long resident of Hayward and resided at the Fran-Mar Apartments for 22 years and for the past four years at Golden Living Valley of Hayward. She enjoyed; going for coffee or out-to-eat, walks around town with her sister, Jean Rang, music and dancing, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Charlotte is survived by two children, Marcia (Bruce) Larson and Steven Miles, both of Hayward; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Jean Rang of Hayward.
She was preceded by her husband, Walter, her parents and 11 siblings.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday at the Seeley Cemetery with Pastor Gary Hilgendorf officiating.
