Mr. Shaffer was bom October 19, 1920 in Gibsland, LA to Jesse Meadows and Elizabeth Outz Shaffer and passed away May 17, 2006 in Springhill, LA. He had been a resident of this area since 1947, was a member of Springhill United Methodist Church and retired from International Paper Company after 36 years.
He is survived by his daughters, Betty Minor and husband, Glen of Whitehall, AR, Ginger Hudson and husband, Thomas of Norphlet, AR; his son, Jesse Wayne Shaffer and wife, Theresa of Sarepta, LA; his sister, Cecil Kilpatrick of Magnolia, AR; his brother, Rev. Johnny Wilson Shaffer of Swansea, S.C.; his grandchildren, Wesley Shaffer and wife, Shere, Leah Culbertson and husband, Troy; and his great grandson, Gentry Shaffer.
Mr. Shaffer was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Mary Lois Jordan Shaffer.
