Leavenworth, WA

Louise A. Fischer, of Leavenworth, WA, born March 29, 1937, died July 20, 2011, at Central Washington Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Linton, ND, she moved to the Cashmere area as a young child. She attended school there, ran track, was a yell leader and was Homecoming Queen. There she met and later married Dwight Bostwick. Together they had five children, LeeAnn, Lynn, Kevin, Braden and Brett. Louise also had a very accomplished working career. While raising three children and with her husband in college, she worked for Tektroniks in Oregon. After they moved to Yakima, she secured a position at Libby, McNeil & Libby, where she managed payroll, and later worked at Orchard Rite. When the family moved to Wenatchee in 1980, she worked for Dalgety, Cedargreens and Simplot foods, where she also did payroll. She retired in 1995, but volunteered her time at various businesses, including the Department of Wildlife. She adored her family and grandchildren, loved the beach and was an accomplished seamstress, an art that she learned from her mother. She was very patriotic, a tried and true friend and took such pleasure in the simple things in life.

She is survived by her children: LeeAnn (Joe) Greiner and their children, Moleena and Marty; Lynn (Rick) Laurent and their children, Nicholas and Shannon; Brady (Janice) Bostwick and their children, Brenna and Chad; Brett Bostwick and his children, Drew, Taylor and Adam; and six great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Ruby, Cameron, Audrey, Crosby and Grayson. She is also survived by one brother, Andrew Fischer; and one sister, Bernice Mett. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elizabeth and Andrew Fischer; her son, Kevin, whom she considered her little angel; and 12 brothers and sisters.

A Celebration of her Life will be held Friday, July 29, 2011, at Evergreen Memorial Park Mausoleum in East Wenatchee at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the March of Dimes.

"Mother, we love you, we will miss you dearly and we know that you are at peace."
