William E. "Bill" Fischer, 85, of East Wenatchee, died Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006.

He was a 60-year resident of the Wenatchee Valley. He was a longtime orchardist and horticulturist. In addition, he founded and owned Farwell Products and worked as a field man for Northwest Wholesale.

Survivors include his wife, Loretta Fischer of East Wenatchee; two children, Glen F. Fischer of Wenatchee and Adele Haley of East Wenatchee; five sisters, Marcella Stine of Lyle, Louise Fischer of Leavenworth, Helen Repass of Wenatchee and Alvina Middlesworth and Bernice Mett, both of Wisconsin; and two brothers, Pat Fischer of Wenatchee and Andrew Fischer of Yakima.

A funeral service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Telford's Chapel of the Valley. A private interment will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday. Arrangements are by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.

Funeral services for William E. "Bill" Fischer, who died Wednesday, will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Newsong Community Church, 11 N. Iowa St. in East Wenatchee.

The family changed the location after the obituary appeared on Page B8 Friday.
