She was born July 22, 1934, in Virginia, Ill., the daughter of George and Dorothy (Embree) Newberry. Dorothy married Georgie T. Schroeder on Nov. 27, 1957, in Dixon. He preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 1990.
She is survived by two daughters, Suzanne (Kerry) Enlow of Franklin Grove and Sandra (Joe) Barron of Nachusa; four grandchildren, Benjamin (Katie) Enlow, Megan Enlow, Blake Belman and Corderro Schroeder; one great-granddaughter, Julie Enlow; special nephew, Wayne Lengquist and his wife, Annie, and their children, Jackson and Hanna; and two sisters.
She also was preceded in death by sisters, Hazel Newberry, Kathy Turner and Chantal Newberry.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home, Dixon. A private family service will be Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Kim Chapman, pastor of Chana and Lighthouse United Methodist churches, officiating. Burial will be at Pine Grove Cemetery, Dixon.
