Goldie Chestnutt, nee Newberry, 81, of rural Rushville, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017.
She was born January 19, 1936 in Cass Co., the daughter of George Newberry and Dorothy Embree Newberry Wheeler Damp. She married William L. "Bill" Chestnutt on February 6, 1954 in Beardstown and he past away December 11, 2016.

She is survived by three sons, William "Bill" Chestnutt, Jr. and Frank Chestnutt, both of Rushville and Mike Chestnutt of Frederick; three daughters, Dorothy Orrill of Frederick, Cindy (Charlie) Tucker of Beardstown and Barbara (Daniel) Mangold of Frederick; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister Brenda Hazelwood of Dixon; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Sue Yvonne and Lori Ann Chestnutt; four sisters, Hazel Newberry, Dorothy Schroeder, Chantal Newberry and Katherine Turner.

She loved and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Goldie Ann Chestnutt, age 81 of rural Rushville, died Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at Sarah D. Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.

She was born January 19, 1936 in Arenzville, the daughter of George and Dorothy Embree Newberry. She married William L. "Bill" Chestnutt, Sr, on February 6, 1954 and he preceded her in death on December 11, 2016.

She is survived by three sons William "Bill" Chestnutt, Jr. and Frank Chestnutt, both of Rushville and Mike Chestnutt of Frederick; three daughters, Dorothy Orrill of Frederick, Cindy (husband Charlie) Tucker of Beardstown and Barbara (husband Daniel) Mangold of Frederick; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister Brenda Hazelwood of Dixon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two daughters, Sue Yvonne and Lori Ann Chestnutt, and four sisters Hazel Newberry, Dorothy Schroeder, Chantel Atwood and Kathrine Turner.

Goldie attended Arenzville High School and later in life had worked at Myers Nursing Home in Beardstown. She enjoyed riding horses, taking car rides, flowers, and fishing. She had a love for all animals but most importantly she loved her family.
