Agnes "Ag" Honea Gothard of Flintville, Tennessee died Tuesday in Fayetteville, Tennessee after a lengthy illness.
Mrs. Gothard was born in Madison County, Alabama on February 4, 1932.
She was employed with Genesco for 12 years and with GTE for 17 years before moving to Gadsden, Alabama where she ran a daycare for 16 years.
After she and her husband retired, they relocated to Flintville, Tennessee to be near their family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffery Neal Gothard; her husband, James Neal Gothard; parents, Ernest and Raybon Fanning Honea; sister, Louise H. Moon and brothers, E.W., James and Wayne Honea.
Survivors include grandchildren, Ashlee, Matthew and Christopher Gothard; daughter-in-law, Angie Gothard, sisters, Evelyn Holder and husband Don, Eva Pendergrass and husband Harvie, Linda Mabry and husband John; brothers, Lawrence Honea and wife Carrie, Glen Honea and Winfred Honea and wife Dean and sisters-in-law, Marbrey Honea and Melba Honea and her mother-in-law, Mrs. Sybil Reed and a host of nieces and nephews.
