Jerry Winfred Honea, age 74, of Flintville, TN passed away June 26, 2013 at Huntsville Hospital. Mr. Honea was born in Madison County, AL on March 25, 1939 to the late Ernest & Raybon Fanning Honea. He has been a resident of Lincoln County, TN for the past 45 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army, was retired from the Frito Lay Company and was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Flintville, TN where he served as song director for 14 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lawrence, E.W., James & Wayne Honea and sisters, Louise Moon and Agnes Gothard. Mr. Honea is survived by his loving wife, Dean Bradford Honea of Flintville, TN and their children, Steve Honea (Cami) of Fayetteville, TN, Gina Russell (Stanley) of Lewisburg, TN & Janet Posey (Jeff) of Hazel Green, AL, one brother, Glen Honea of Madison, TN, three sisters, Evelyn Holder (Don) & Eva Pendergrass, all of Clarksville, TN, Linda Mabry (John) of Huntsville, AL, three sisters-in-law, Carrie Honea, Melba Honea and Marbrey Honea, seven grandchildren, Bethany Baker, Joshua Honea, Madison Honea, Breanna Hockett, Trent Russell, Jamie Decker & Jessica Posey and one great granddaughter, Brynlee Baker. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Gallant-Riverview Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Basham and Bro. Ian Bloxham officiating. Burial will follow in Flintville Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.
