Funeral services for Mr. James S. Honea, age 80, of Flintville conducted at Higgins Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Langford and Rev. Kenneth Bashaun officiating.
Burial in Flintville Cemetery.
Mr. Honea died Wednesday in Lincoln Skill Care Center.
He was a native of Madison County, AL and the son of the late Ernest and Raybon Fanning Honea.
Mr. Honea was a farmer, former employee of Pendergrass Supply and a member of the Flintville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years Virginia Pendergrass Honea of Flintville, two daughters Nancy Hopson and husband Mike of Fayetteville, and Beverly Harbin of Flintville, three grandsons Kevin Honea and Will Harbin both of Flintville and Tommy Hopson of Fayetteville, four great grandchildren, three brothers Winfred Honea of Flintville, Lawrence Honea of Fayetteville and Glenn Honea of Madison, TN, four sisters Evelyn Holder and Eva Pendergrass of Clarksville, TN, Linda Mabry of Huntsville, AL and Agnes Gothard of Flintville.
Mr. Honea was preceded in death by a son Aaron Honea, brothers E. W. and Wayne Honea and sister Louise Moon.
