2/9/1967- Tuttle Times:

C.V. Elliott, 79, passed away Thursday, Feb 3, in an Oklahoma City hospital.
He was born 3/13/1887 in Cornith, MO. He married Elizabeth Holcomb in 1909 at DeQueen, Ark and they moved to the Tuttle area in 1929 and had lived here ever since. Mr Elliott was a farmer most of his life. He attended the Pentecostal Holiness church. He had been in failing health the past 2 years.
Services were held Sunday, Feb 5, in the Pentecostal Holiness church with Rev Louis Gibbs officiating, assisted by Rev Damon Burrows. Music was provided by a trio, Mrs Eloise Hovis, Mrs Don Smith, & Mrs Martha Cox.
Survivors include 6 daughters, Mrs Thelma Anderson of Oklahoma City, Mrs Cecil Beck of Oklahoma City, Mrs Arder Cummings of Altus, Mrs John Shelton of North Carolina, Mrs Eddie Bridges of La, Mrs Henry McCarthy of Tuttle, 3 sons, Clyde R. & Dale of Mustang, & Brooks of Calif, 3 brothers, 5 sisters, 35 grandchildren, & 9 great grandchildren. Pallbearers were his grandsons, Glen Elliott, Donnie McCarthey, Elliott Anderson, Edwin Elliott, Bobby Shelton, & Leslie Beck.
