JOHN ALLBRIGHT
John Allbright, an old citizen of Raccoon township, died of paralysis, at his home two miles west of Bridgeton, Sunday.
He was a native of Virginia, born in Augusta county, 76 years ago. While a boy in that community he witnessed the trail of Cyrus McCormick's first reaper, which took place on the farm of Captain Humphreys, who shortly afterwards moved to Rockville. Mr. Allbright also emigrated to Parke county in its early days.
His funeral was held Monday and was largely attended. Burial was at Adams Cemetery in Jessup.
