Perry F. Myers, age 72 years, of Ulman, Mo., passed away Thursday, March 21 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Mary Rogers in Eldon, Mo. Mr. Myers was born November 22, 1901, in Miller County near Ulman, Mo., the son of William M. and Martha L. (Pierce) Myers. He was united in marriage on October 8, 12943 in Seattle, Washington, to Sophia Lada, who preceded him in death on August 6, 1969.

Mr. Myers graduated from the Iberia Academy in 1924 and was in St. Louis until 1939. He was a longshoreman in Seattle Washington from 1939-1961, at which time he retired and moved back to his farm home near Ulman, Mo. Mr. Myers was a member of the Mt. View Church of Christ and Local 506 in Seattle, Washington.

Preceding him in death other than his wife, Sophia, were: one daughter, Martha Jean Myers in October 1963; one brother, Astor Myers and one sister, Oma Hawkins.

Surviving are: one daughter, Mrs. Mary Rogers of Eldon, Mo. and one sister, Mrs. Margaret Gunn of Eldon, Mo.; 3 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the Stevinson Chapel in Iberia. Bro. James Baysinger of Springfield was to conduct the funeral but because he became stuck in a snowdrift on the way to Iberia could not arrive. The family asked that Charles Lamb of Crocker, a member of the Mt. View Church of Christ, conduct the service. Interment was in the Hickory Point Cemetery under the direction of the Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia. Pallbearers were: James Myers, Don Myers, Bill Myers, Guy Hix, Jack Jones and Robert Myers.
