Services for Carroll Monroe Carter, 93, of Gibsland, La. were held on May 7, 1983 at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church. Religious services were conducted by Rev. Larry Joyner assisted by Rev. Stan McGee. Interment was in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery.

He passed away May 6, 1983 at the Minden Medical Center. He was a farmer by trade and a World War I veteran.

He is survived by 3 daughters, Mrs. Douglas Stewart of Gibsland, La., Mrs. Phil Kihneman of Shreveport, La., Mrs. Ray Winslett of Lake Charles, La.; 1 sister, Mrs. Carroll Merritt of Gibsland, La; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Amos Smith, Jr., Steve Fontenot, Dave Carr, James Stewart, Robert Hamm, and Carter Caldwell.
