Enoch was born Sept. 24, 1868 to Thomas and Elizabeth Walker Grover at Farmington, Utah. He was joined in marriage to Amber Jane Call on May 22, 1889. she proceded him in death on Feb. 21, 1945.
Enoch clear sagebrush from the main street of Rigby and settled on a farm near Rigby after his marriage. He later built a home inside Rigby that still stands. He later married Martha Moon. He and Martha resided in Logan for the past 12 years.
Besides his wife Martha, he is survived by six daughters and fourR sons; Elizabeth Hoggan, Salmon Idaho; Nancy Casper, Rexburg; Armelia McQuivey, Boise; Vetta Scott, Idaho Falls; Welda Dutson, Ontario, Calif.; Irma Bledsoe, Walnut Creek, Calif.; Ursel Grover, Mesa, Ariz.; Lowell Grover, Brigham City, Utah; Clarence Grover, Idaho Falls, and Milton Grover of Malad Idaho. Also surviving is one sister, Polly Smith, Garland, Utah; 45 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be held at Eckersell Funeral Home Tuesday, April 7th at 3:30 pm in Rigby. Interment will be at the Rigby Cemetary.
Enoch was a great colonizer and pionneered the building of canals, bridges, and roads and help build homes, schools, churchs and businesses in the area. Through his love for animals Enoch began buying and selling cattle. He could look at a critter and guess their weight almost to a pound. He was known throughout the Snake River Valley for his honesty and fairness in his dealings.
