Walter Toman passed away at his home in Chase twonship on Wednesday, Dec. 15, after a brief illness of pneumonia. He was born Apr 10, 1879, near Reed City , where he has since made his home. His father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Toman , and one brother, Amos, preceded him in death. Mr. Toman was married to Lizzie Erbes on Sep 11, 1902, who passed away on Feb 13, 1906. To this union was born one daughter, Irene. He was again married on Jun 3, 1919 to Angeline Kinney, and one son, Royal, and two daughters, Opal and Velma, were born to them. The widow and four children are left to mourn his death. He is also survived by five brothers, John of Muskegon, Samuel of Mesick, Joseph of Cadillac, James and Jacob of Reed City; and four sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Marlow and Mrs. Mary Seager of Reed City, Mrs. Louise Blubm of Grand Rapids and Caroline Morse of LeRoy; besided a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral services were held Friday at the Midgley church, the Rev. Clement of Paris officiating. Burial was made in Woodland cemetery at Reed City.
