Mrs. Rebecca Marlow, 78, resident of this vicinity for most of her life, passed away at her farm home southwest of Reed City, Wednesday, Mar 14, following a month's illness following a stroke.
Rebecca Toman was born in Ontario, Canada, on Jan 29, 1867. She was married to James Marlow about 1880, who died in Oct, 1932. An only daughter, Bessie, died in the tragic Livingston hotel fire in Grand Rapids on Apr 1, 1924.
Surviving are four brothers, Sam Toman of Mesick, Jake and James of Reed City and John of Muskegon; three sisters, Mrs. Will Stephan and Mrs. Mary Seager of Reed City and Mrs. Carrie Morse of LeRoy; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the Methodist church with Rev. William Simpson officiating. Interment took place in Woodland cemetery.
