[The Frederick Post, Frederick, Maryland, October 18, 1926]
The funeral of Raymond L. Brandenburg, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Brandenburg, of Harmony, Frederick county, who was killed in the Western Maryland yards, Hagerstown, Friday, was held from the Reformed church at Harmony Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with Rev. John S. Adams, of Middletown, officiating. The funeral was one of the largest ever held in that section of the county. Several large automobiles were necessary to convey the flowers. Interment was made in the Reformed cemetery at Middletown. C. T. K. Gladhill was the funeral director.

Brandenburg, who had been working in the Hagerstown yards of the Western Maryland the greater part of the summer and fall, had crawled under one of the cars in the yard to make repairs, after the car had been raised by a jack. The instrument slipped, however, leaving the heavy car down on his chest, which was crushed. Although aid was summoned at once, Brandenburg was dead when his body was removed.

Besides his parents, young Brandenburg is survived by a number of brothers and sisters. Prior going to Hagerstown he drove a milk truck for Frank Lowery, of Harmony. One of Brandenburg's brothers is now ill at home with typhoid fever, it was said.
