George W. Brandenburg, aged 67 years, was found dead at 8 o'clock Sunday morning at his home in Harmony. The county medical examiner reported death due to a heart attack. He was a son of the late John and Mary Altman Brandenburg of Harmony and was well known throughout the county as an expert stonemason.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Fannie Wise Brandenburg and the following children: John, Mt. Lena; Frank and Albert, Harmony; Mrs. Elmer Wiles and Mrs. Christian Smith, near Middletown; Mrs. Grayson Toms, Locust Valley; Mrs. Alton Smith, Walkersville; Mrs. Robert Long, Mt. Airy; Marshall, Melvin, George, Ethel, and Imogene at home; a sister Mrs. Mary Summers, near Myersville, and a half-bother, William Culler, near Middletown.
He was a member of the Middletown Lodge, Order of Macabees, a choir leader for the Harmony Church of the Brethren and a member of the Harmony Band since its organization.
Funeral services will be conducted from the Church of the Brethren, Harmony, Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. John Graham, Myersville, officiating. Interment in the Reformed Cemetery, Middletown. Gladhill Co., funeral directors.
