Coalport – Guy L. Ball Sr., 87, of Coalport R. D. died yesterday morning at his home. Born in Beccaria Township, Jan 21, 1884, a son of William and Carolina E. (Hillard) Ball, he is survived by his wife, the former Esther Gault whom he married Jan. 21, 1924, and these children: Mrs. Cecilla Kuzub, Wallingford, Conn: Mrs. Beryle Eichorn, Yalesville, Conn.; Mrs. Junie Maslowski, Chesire, Conn., Miss Bona Ball at home, Guy and Thaddeus, Smoke Run: Dennis, McCartney; Timothy Meridan, Conn; and Stephen, Walter, Mrs. Carrie Stephens and Wesley, Coalport R. D. There are 35 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A son Christie preceded him in death. Mr. Ball was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Russell L. Troxell Funeral Home, Glasgow. The Rev. Norman Howell will officiate and interment will be at Mr. Pleasant Cemetery, Utahville. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 0 p.m. today and tomorrow from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. (The Progress, September 29, 1971)
