Lamer was the son of Wesley & Della (Walker) Walker.

Birth record shows DOB as July 15, 1908 in Egeria, WV.
However, family records show birth date as Aug. 15, 1908.

Lamer was considered a good square dance caller during the "good ole Egeria times".

Lamer worked on the construction of the West Virginia Turnpike during 1953 and 1954.

Lamer was last employed with Peasley Products Company in Stratford. Connecticut.

Lamer married Bessie Brogan and had no children together but he was considered a good step-father to her children:
