Vicy "Buster" was the son of Wesley "Ned" and Della Pearl (Walker) Walker.

Vicy enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as Sgt. during WWII in Normandy, North France, Ardennes, Rhineland and central Europe. He was discharged in October 1945.

Vicy married Kathleen Martin in 1946. They moved to Warren, Ohio in 1952 where he worked for Republic Steel for 27 years, retiring in 1976.

Buster and Kathleen had two children:

1. Vicy Vando "Jimmy" Walker, born in 1948
2. Karen Walker Misier, born in 1955

Vicy was brother to:

1. Glady Ruth Walker Agee (1904 - 1981)
2. Loie Lendel Walker (1906 - 1960)
3. Lamer Lynett Walker (1908 - 1963)
4. Gladys R. Tilley (1910 - 1977)
5. Cozy Dove Walker Lewis (1913 - 1983)
6. Cleo Delta Walker Mills (1917 - 1987)
7. Rachel Louise Walker Hatcher (1922 - 2006)
8. Vessie Verco Walker (1925 - 2001)
