Wesley married his third cousin, Della Pearl (Walker) on September 23, 1903 by Preacher J. T. "Demp" Tabor at her parents home in Egeria.
"Ned" worked intermittently at farming, coal mining and sawmilling. Ned and Della moved their family to Lego, West Virginia to a coal mining camp for several years in the 1920's. They later moved back to Egeria and in their later years lived with a daughter in Glen View, West Virginia.
Ned, along with his brothers Haden and German, were known the county wide for their wit and humor.
