Marie Eriksen
Marie B. Eriksen, 99, of Park Place Nursing Center died Friday, July 6, at St. Francis Skilled Care.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Gregory A. Berger will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island City Cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-9 p.m. Monday at Livingston-Sondermann Funeral Home.
Memorials are suggested to the church.
Mrs. Eriksen was born Oct. 28, 1890, in Saline County to Fred and Mary Bartels. She attended Trinity Lutheran School in Grand Island.
In 1911, she married Christian Eriksen in Grand Island, where the couple continued to make their home. Mrs. Eriksen worked at the Cornhusker Ordinance Plant for four years.
Mrs. Eriksen was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include one son, Darold of Grand Island; one daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Mildred) Skinner of San Pedro, Calif.; four grandsons, 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who died Feb. 14, 1964, two sisters and four brothers.
