Celina Jane Cross was age 98, and living in the Smokey Junction Community of Scott Co, TN, when she passed away Wednesday, at Scott County Hospital. Her parents were Franklin and Mary Jane Massengale. She became a member of Corinth Baptist Church in 1924. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Cross, five brothers, Esau, Levi, Laford, Elmer and McKinley, five sisters, Elizabeth Cross, Sylvania Harness, Louella Bunch, Vianna Carroll and Dora Carroll, one son-in-law, Rev. Leon Byrd. She is survived by her children, Minnie Byrd of Huntsville, TN, Maudie (Roland) Lowe, of Smokey Junction Community, TN, two sisters, Linda Lowe of Smokey Creek, TN and Locie Hembree of Huntsville, TN, 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends to mourn her passing.
