Shell Point, Fla.

Mary Helen Harms, 94, of Shell Point, Fla., formerly of Columbus, passed away at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 5, 2010, at a daycare center in Shell Point.

Born in Columbus Feb. 12, 1916, Mrs. Harms was the daughter of Charles Wesley and Ida Levin Stockhover. She married Homer E. Harms Dec. 6, 1937.

Retiring from Cosco Inc. after 24 years of employment, Mary Helen and her husband moved to Sanibel Island, Fla., and later became residents of Shell Point.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Jerry Joe (Gayle) Harms; grandchildren, Joel and Heather Harms of Fort Wayne; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Geraldine Wells of Hillsdale, Mich., and Emogene Stockhover of Columbus; a sister-in-law, Norma Stockhover of Columbus; a niece, Sherry Lynn White of Salem; and nephews, Michael
Wells of Hillsdale, Mich., and Mark Stockhover of Kokomo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Donald Merritt Stockhover and Edwin Duane Stockhover; and a sister-in-law, Harriett Stockhover.
