Charles W. Stoclthover, 76, of Garden City, died Saturday afternoon at the Bartholomew County Hospital at Columbus. His wife, Mrs. Ida Merritt Stockhover, died a number of years ago.

He was widely known in the vicinity and had several relatives here including a sister, Miss Clara Stockhover, of Seymour. He is survived by five children: Mrs. Donald Wells, Richmond, Mrs. Homer Harms, Columbus, Donald Stockhover, Greensburg RR, Miss Emogene Stockhover, Columbus and Edwin Stockhover, Hamilton, O.

Also surviving are two sisters. Miss Stockhover, of Seymour and Mrs. Altus Parker, of Bridgeport and a brother, Sanford Stockhover, of Waymansville. Four sisters, Mrs. Matilda Kiel, Mrs. Emma Klein, Miss Lillian Stockhover and Miss Edith Stockhover and a brother, Frank Stockhover, preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 o'clock Tuesday afternoon from the Flanigan and Reed Funeral Home, 702 Fifth street, Columbus. Burial in a Walesboro cemetery.
