W. Dee Conley Has Fatal Attack

LYNCO, WVa., July 30 - William Dee Conley, 78, died of a heart attack at his home in Oceana at 11:22 p.m. Wednesday, July 29, 1953.

He was a farmer as well as a land owner and married Nellie Kate Bowden on June 12, 1912 in Logan County, WVa.
He had been ordained as a minister approximately 15 years ago but had since retired. He was a son of the late James Taylor Conley and Emma R. Kennon Conley.

Surviving are five sons, Sterling S. of Baileysville; Jesse R. of Oceana; Andrew "Andy" T. of Huntington; Phillip W. of Oceana and Billy of Tyler, Texas; four daughters, Mrs. Dulcie M. Hill of Baileysville; Mrs. Nita M. Cline of Baileysville; Mrs. Eileen J. Hazel of Augusta, Ga.; and Mrs. Dolly Ray Brunty of Lynco.

He was preceded in death by an infant son Giles Conley in 1930.

Funeral rites will be conducted Sunday at 2 p.m. from the Advent Christian Church at Clear Fork. The Rev. Willie Hankins of Elbert will officiate and burial will be in the Conley-Chambers Cemetery at Clear Fork.
The body will be removed to the home of Jess Brunty at Lynco at 5 p.m. Saturday from the Evans Funeral Home in Oceana.
