DIES AT IDAHO CITY
Information Received Here of Death of William Mackie, Former Local Man, at Coeur D'Alene.
Information has been received that William Mackie, a former Oshkosh man, died early this morning at the Coeur d'Alene hospital at Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He had been in poor health for several months.
Mr. Mackie was born in the town of Nekimi, Sept. 30, 1858. He served as undersheriff of Oneida county for some time before going west. He had been employed as a lumber scaler for twenty years in Washington and Idaho.
The deceased had been a bailiff in court at Coeur d'Alene for several terms. He was a member of the Elks and was chairman of the sick committee of that order. He was also a member of the Odd Fellows.
Mr. Mackie is survived by three brothers, Alexander and Robert Mackie, of Oshkosh, and Andrew Mackie, of the town of Nekimi; and one sister, Mrs. Rose Marshall, of Tacoma, Wash. He was also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at Coeur d'Alene.
