PROMINENT RESIDENT OF TOWN OF NEKIMI IS CALLED BY DEATH
Ill less than a week on his farm near highway 26 about four miles southwest of Oshkosh, Andrew J. Mackie, 67, prominent town of Nekimi farmer, passed away Friday evening shortly after 7 o'clock. Death was due to pneumonia.

Mr. Mackie was a former town officer. He was treasurer for many years and a member of the district school board for 30 years. He was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Mackie.

He was born July 16, 1864, in the town of Nekimi and spent his entire life there. He married Miss Emma Roberts in 1889. She died five years later.

A son and two daughters are surviving children. They are Roy Mackie and Mr. Arthur Powell of the town of Nekimi and Mrs. Emil Helm, a resident of Oshkosh. A brother, Robert Mackie, lives here also, and there is a sister, Mrs. Rosa Marshall, at Tacoma, Wash. His grandmother, Mrs. Elizabeth Roberts, lives at Whitewater.

Other survivors are three grandchildren, Leslie Powell and Harold and Arthur Helm; two step-grandsons, Norman and Donald Helm; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at his home, with the Rev. W. L. Harms of the First Baptist temple of Oshkosh, officiating. Burial will be at Ellenwood cemetery.

The remains may be viewed at the home from this evening to the time of the services.
