Mrs. Marshall, Centenarian, Passes Here
Mrs. Joseph (Rosa M.) Marshall, 101, died yesterday in a local nursing home. She was born in Oshkosh, Wis., and had lived in Tacoma since 1897 having moved here from Eureka, Calif. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Rebekah Lodge.
Her husband died in 1926, and she lived for many years on N. Fife Street. Not until she was 100, did she need professional care. She spent her final year in a nursing home.
Her lasting interest during her more than a century on earth was church work, according to stories carried on most of her birthdays since her 97th in the Tacoma News Tribune.
She is survived by a son, George A. of Tacoma; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services will be announced by the Buckley-King Mortuary.
