His siblings were Clarence,Clinton,Dorothy,Lenna and Goldie. His parents divorced when he was a young boy,about 8 years old and he went with his mother and sisters to Washington State,leaving his older brothers in Kansas with his father. When he was about 18 years old,about 1924,he left home and was never heard from again by his family.

When a family member,Beverly Harker,was doing genealogy research in 2001 an obituary was found for him in Santa Rosa,Ca.The following is a copy of the Sonoma newspaper article about his death.

CECIL HARKER
Funeral services are being arranged for Cecil Harker,age 60,whose decomposed body was found July 30,at the rear of 1254 Dutton Ave. Mr.Harker was an inmate of Mendocino State Hospital and had been missing since July 12, Sonoma County County Coroner Andrew Johaiken said. His body was found by Walter Tollesson,55 Barnham ave,and was identified by dental charts, a missing toe and his name inscribed inside his belt. He had worked as a restaurant worker and laborer.
