Charles "Lester" Buck was born May 17, 1901 near Lyons, the son of Warren R and Kathryn (Graves) Buck; attended school at Macy, Walthill and Rosalie; married Mildred L. Perrin, August 11, 1931 at Pender. He was a retired constuction worker and had lived in South Sioux City for 40 years before moving to Columbus. He held the office of deacon in his church.
Surviving are his wife; one son and two daughters. Darrell L. and Mrs. Wilmer (Trudi) Malcom of South Sioux City, Mrs. George (Dee) McCarthy of Columbus; three brothers, Wayne of Sandpoint, Idaho, Forrest of South Sious City, Clyde of Ogden, Utah; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
He was proceded in death by an infant son, Verl Lester; his parents; eight brothers, Rozell, Harold, Lloyd, Mell, Chester, Carroll, LeRoy, Glenn.
