Star. Miles City, MT. Tues. June 1, 1993. John Fred Stickelmeyer, 90, of Miles City died Fri. May 28, 1993, in the Custer County Rest Home. Mr. Stickelmeyer was born May 23, 1903, in Odessa, Russia, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Stickelmeyer. He moved to the United States when he was a young child. Later he moved to Jamestown, N.D. He and Beatrice M. Foley were married in Jamestown. He operated the Friendly Grocery in Jamestown until moving to Miles City in the early 1950s. Mr. Stickelmeyer worked at the Fair Price Grocery until the 1960s when he went to work for the Milwaukee Railroad. In the 1970's, he retired. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church. His survivors include three sons, John Jr. of Miles City, Jerry of Midland, Mich., and Lloyd of Longmont, Colo.; a daughter, Mary Kay Borchert of Los Angeles; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1980. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Wed. June 2, 1993, in the chapel of Stevenson and Sons Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Butler of the Miles City Trinity Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will follow in the Custer County Cemetery. Miles City Star. Tues. June 1, 1993. Stickelmeyer, John F., age 90.
