Emma was born Amelia Joan Stickelmeyer on July 25 1916 in Carrington, N.D. To Chris and Elizabeth (Weber) Stickelmeyer. She used the name Emma on all her official documents. Her first marriage was to Fred McLaren on February 25 1936. The marriage did not last long since Fred got in trouble with the law. Emma work at the K&T Club at the Superior Hotel in the 40's and 50's, there she met her partner for life Byron "Moose Kennedy. In September 1955 Byron purchased a tavern/home on Lake Amnicon in Superior, Wi. Byron and Emma worked the bar and lived there till March of 1967. They sold the property and moved into the city of Superior. Emma official married Byron on Nov.25 1968. They lived at 1902 1/2 N. 13th. St. In 1969 Byron passed away. They had no children. She had 5 brothers John,Jake,Adam,Walter, Leslie and 2 sisters Lydia and Alice. She had several nieces and nephews. She passed away on June 19 1971, and is buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Superior, Wi.
