Earl T. Kicklighter Died Thursday


Earl T. Kicklighter,75, died last Thursday at Candler General Hospital in Savannah after a long illness.

The native a Tattnall County was a retired farmer and a deacon of Beards Creek Primitive Baptist Church.

Surviving are is wife, Mrs. Mamie Rose Strickland Kicklighter of Glennville, three daughters, Mrs. Earlene Glisson of Tifton, Mrs. Lennie Ruth Howard of Statesboro, Mrs. Lois Curry, Glennville; three sons, J.A. Kicklighter of Glennville, Franklin Kicklighter of Raeford, N.C., and Talmadge Kicklighter of Jesup; a sister, Mrs. Grace Stubbs of Glennville, a brother, Marvin Kicklighter of Glennville, and 15 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

Funeral services here held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Breads Creek Primitive Baptist Church conducted by Elder Paul Revels, Jr., and Elder W.H. Durrence with Elder Gerald Proctor. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Rimes Mortuary was in charge.
