Mamie Rose Kicklighter Died Tuesday
Mamie Rose S. Kicklighter,86,died last Tuesday in Glennville after a long illness. The Tattnall County native was a member of Beard's Creek Primitive Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Lois K. Curry of Glennville; Earlene K. Glisson and Lennie K. Howard, both of Statesboro; three sons, J.A. Kicklighter of Glennville, Franklin Kicklighter of Raeford, N.C., and Talmadge Kicklighter of Jesup; one sister, Anne Deen of Hinesville; 16 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held last Thursday at 11 a.m. at Beard's Creek Primitive Baptist Church by Elder P.O. Revels, Jr. and Elder John Mikell. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be grandsons: Jessie Allen Kicklighter, Jr., Bruce Kicklighter, Gregory Thomas Howard, Glen Thomas Curry, Mark Kicklighter, Talmadge Kicklighter, Jr., Mitchell Ray, Michael Earl Howard and Frank Kicklighter.
The Deacons of Beard's Creek Primitive Baptist Church will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
Rimes Mortuary of Glennville was in charge of arrangements.
