WALCOTT, Iowa - Ruth H. Kraft, 82, of Walcott, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 28, 2004, at the Good Samaritan Home in Davenport. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, January 3, 2005, at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. Sunday at the mortuary.
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Davenport. Memorials may be made to the Walcott Fire Department or to the Walcott Community Club.
Ruth was born July 23, 1922, in Scott County, to Herman G and Caroline (Meier) Martens. She was united in marriage to Roman Kraft in 1941 in Kansas City, Mo. She and her husband farmed for many years in the Walcott area. She loved playing cards, especially 500 and loved to dance.
Survivors include her loving husband, Roman, Good Samaritan Home; sons and daughter-in-law, Allen and Sarah, Davenport, and Robert, Walcott; daughters, Gerry Reese and Marilyn Bennett, both of Walcott; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Gladys and Louis Claussen, Davenport, and Delores and Melvin Best, Stockton.
Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, son, David, twin sister, Ruby, and sister, Irene Wuestenberg.
