A Celebration of Life service will follow the visitation at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 8, at Bentley Funeral Home in Durant.
Allen Ray Kraft was born September 7, 1945, in Davenport, the son of Roman and Ruth (Marten) Kraft. He graduated from Davenport West High School in 1964. He proudly served in the Iowa National Guard. He married Sarah A. Wood on September 17, 1966, in Stanwood. Together they farmed in Scott County, until they retired in 2019. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and being a farmer. Above all, he loved the time he spent with his family.
Surviving are his wife, Sarah; one daughter, Debra (Clint) Friederichs of Donahue; one son, Scott (Gale) Kraft of Walcott; three granddaughters, Jill (Eric) Johnston, Erin (Levi) Hughes and Nicole Kraft; one great-granddaughter, Oaklynn Johnston, one sister, Marilyn Bennett of Tennessee; one brother, Robert Kraft (Jan) of Walcott; and one brother-in-law, Jeffrey Reese of Walcott.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Geraldine Reese and one brother, David Kraft.
