Alice Myrtle Cook, 99, of 60678 CR 101, died Tuesday morning, August 2, at her home. Her death followed a six-month illness.

Born Alice Wenger, the daughter of Daniel W and Ann Eliza (Holdeman) Wenger, she married Floyd C Cook on August 10, 1907, in St Joseph County. He passed away in April of 1982.

She is survived by three daughters, Mrs Dale (Margaret) Love, Goshen Mrs Charles (Verna) Squires, Elkhart and Mrs Leon (Elizabeth) Wood, of Hardy, Ark; and three sons, Daniel, James and Kieth, all of Elkhart.

She is also survived by two sisters, Goldie Weldy and Evelyn Moyer, both of Wakarusa and one brother, Ralph Wenger, of Elkhart. She had 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Two sons, Donald and Gerald, preceded her in death.

Mrs Cook was a homemaker and seamstress and had lived in the same home since 1921. She was a member of the Jamestown United Methodist Church and the Baugo Home Economics Club.

Visitation will be from 2- 9 pm Wednesday, at Lienhart Funeral Home in Wakarusa. The body will lie in state at the Jamestown United Methodist Church for one hour prior to the funeral services, which will be held at 10:30 am Thursday. Rev Don Wilks, pastor of the church will conduct the services and burial will be made in Olive West Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jamestown United Methodist Church.
