He is survived by his wife Louise of Elkhart, 1 daughter, Ida (Ned) Owen along with two grandsons, John Woodward Owen and Henry James Owen all of Fort Wayne and one Sister Margaret Love of Goshen, Indiana and a one brother Keith Cook of Elkhart.
James was a graduate of Jimtown High School, was a Farmer and Milk Hauler. He was a member of Jamestown United Methodist Church.
